Hello again anyone and everyone who follows me or has just happened to come across my blog :) Haven't posted much in the last few weeks had a lot going on and I've been trying to knuckle down and focus more on my actual story so the development of my character designs is slightly behind at the moment, but I'm getting there slowly. Designing and concept are not my strong points but I do try my best :) Hoping to post up more drawings and doodles of my characters and more information regarding my story in the coming weeks.
If anyone has any comments as well on how I can maybe change my design or try something a little different, I'm all ears :)
Hi Amy. Nice drawings! The central character in the middle picture definitely has the right look IMHO. Her hair and eye shape are spot on. I know simplifying her body would make your life a bit easier in the long run but I think the curvier shape suits her perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI know you're not happy with her legs but again the middle drawing looks good, they're nicely in proportion with her body and feet and her ankles aren't too thin.
Possibly the only improvement would be some articulation in her elbows and knees, but as someone who didn't get beyond matchstick characters, I don't know how much extra work that would entail!

Thanks for the nice comments as usual Brian but I still have a lot more designing to do :/ Its not really my strong point and I've been focusing mainly on my story at the moment and that's whats key to making my film work so the designs at the moment aren't 100% there yet but I hope to have something more final very soon :)
