These pictures just show a few expressions I've been able to make with my puppets using felt cut out mouths, eyes and eyebrows. Even though it quite limited in some way, it suits the style of my film and I'm pleased with the kind of expressions I can get. I'm hoping while animating the eyes can be pinned into place but I will be able to move the pupil around freely. The mouth and eyebrows will probably work in a similar way. I can be adjusted and positioned using a needle and then can be moved again slightly while animating.
