About Me

Helllllo there I'm Amy :) I am a graduate with a 2:1 degree in Stop Motion animation. My main specialty is creating characters and environments using fabric such as felt. This blog is just a place for me to share some of my work. I have a long way to go still but, I'm determined to improve my skills and someday make a living out of something I'm passionate about :) I hope you all enjoy viewing my blog and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I don't bite :)

Female Puppet Padding Out

My female puppet is currently being padded out with needle felting. The torso and waist have foam on them and I've worked on top of that by stabbing into the foam until it is all covered. The hands need to be finished but I feel they will be the trickiest part. As they are quite small and intricate, I want to make sure that the felt surrounding the fingers is quite firm so it doesn't unravel while animating. I am going to continue to try and condense the wool as much as possible all over the armature until I'm ready to film otherwise I may have a slight rippling with the felt which may effect the animation in my film.
