About Me

Helllllo there I'm Amy :) I am a graduate with a 2:1 degree in Stop Motion animation. My main specialty is creating characters and environments using fabric such as felt. This blog is just a place for me to share some of my work. I have a long way to go still but, I'm determined to improve my skills and someday make a living out of something I'm passionate about :) I hope you all enjoy viewing my blog and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I don't bite :)

Bulking up the tail..

To bulk up the tail of my puppet, I attached a piece of hard foam between where the spine and tail are connected on the armature. I have decided to do it this way because my character will be sitting down for the full duration of the animation, I wanted to make a wider surface so it will be easier for me to tie down my armature when I'm ready to animate. I have applied blue sponge material to the tail and attached it using contact adhesive and I have also refined the shape by cutting back into the sponge to create the shape I want.
