Fruit For Thought Production Showreel

Hello again! Well my time at University is nearly over! Sad times... :'( The film will be done in the next few weeks and I should post it up before graduation in July. To be honest, I'm not really concerned about the overall grade I get from my film because right now, I just want to get it done for me :) But just as a taster, here's a little show reel I put together for my film. It's just a few visuals and some snippets of animation but I hope you all enjoy :) Find the link below! :)

HAND IN TODAY!!

I am finally ready to submit for my final hand in of 3rd year! (Well kinda of..) The film isn't 100% finished.. but I plan to work on it afterwards to get it done for myself. I still have a few things to do such as rig removal and re-shooting certain scenes, but particular segments of my film I am very pleased with and I would happily include them in a showreel in the near future.

But for the time being here's some finalised shots.

Although I have been animating for the past few weeks (sorry if I haven't posted anything about that by the way :P) I'm still not ready to post any animation as of yet.

Filming is coming along okay but I still have a fair bit to do which is getting a bit of a worry now! :S I have about 5 weeks until my final deadline so I hope that everything will turn out okay! Well I shouldn't say I hope. I should be saying I CAN DOOOOOO THIS but I won't get ahead of myself :)

Here are all my puppets in size comparison with the trees and bushes.

I still needed to make mouths for the girl and this point and also her dress needs to be finalised but I'm getting there slowly :)

Lots and lots of trees :3

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone. Been extremely busy getting my puppets and sets sorted that I haven't had chance to post anything up. But I thought I'd post up about my trees.

As the trees in my film are meant to be flat and cut out in style, to make one I drew out the tree shape on large sheets of foam board and then I cut it out with a sharp blade.

To add colour to the trees, I then cut out pieces of coloured felt and attached them to the tree using a hot glue gun.

I did this until the tree is completely covered.

I then added the bark texture by cutting out small pieces of red funky foam and stuck them to the trunk of each tree.

Also made a few bushes as well :D
